 The Region of St. Paul has purchased a state of the art Notification and Alert system. The Town/County of St. Paul, Town of Elk Point and Summer Village of Horseshoe Bay have had designated staff take the training on the operation of the system, and it’s overall development of the site. Weeds listed in the Alberta Weed Control Act are a threat to Alberta’s environment, economy and society. They have the potential to degrade habitiats, reduce biodiversity, increase erosion, cause widlfires, reduce property value, create obstacles to international trade and cause reduction in productivity of agricultural land. Winners will receive gift certificates, courtesy of Home Hardware, Peavey Mart and Canadian Tire. To sign up on your own please take a look at the Public Safety Page Alerts tab for more information or the Notification and Alert team will be set up through-out the next 2 weeks to also assist the public in signing up.
